waking up in damp diapers

Well it is now getting warmer here... and that means I am waking up in damper diapers. Mostly because it is getting hot and wearing diapers doesn't do much to cool you down at night. that IS true.

Also I have been running a lot lately. I am on a marathon training schedule because I would like to run a full 42k, 26 mile marathon in one year. I am now up to about 10 K...

One thing I have noticed about running is that I have to go to the bathroom a lot more than normal. As I run and burn fat, my body cleans itself of all the nasty things inside... and thus I am going a lot more often at night...

Hence I wake up in damp diapers as of late. Do to both the heat and my weak little bladder..

funny, I have been sleeping in diapers for a year and a half now... and I still look forward to it every night. I guess that is better for hating myself for it.

I know a person who just started wearing them after getting a strange stomach flu... he is miserable with them.. But I try to stay happy and positive :) you should too

  2. I am thinking about running with a diaper simply because sometimes i really have to go but I can't stop running once I get going. I am sure after a couple of hours it is necessary.

and i am just a few years older than you... so I know what it is like being a 20 something year old bed wetter

  3. Greetings. Warmer days can do that to you, especially if the air is humid and sweat accumulates rather than evaporating as it usually does. I always woke up damp in the summer, wet or not, no matter what type I happened to be wearing at the time. I agree that wearing while running makes perfect sense, though it would certainly change the way you run and therefore alter your center of gravity. Any sort of exercise will release toxins as the bodily fluids get circulating. Baring in mind the fact that running causes sweating, it would probably make more sense to wear either cloth with smooth and comfortable plastic pants, or a disposable with a comfortable nonwoven backing. For one thing, the nonwovens allow air to circulate through the areas covered by the padding, and they also seem to chafe less than plastic does. When the legs are sweaty, plastic rubbing against them with movement, especially when it is clammy from internal moisture, really gets the skin red and raw if left for some time. If wearing a plastic backed disposable, some form of underwear over it will keep a more comfortable cloth between the skin of the inner thies and the plastic, as well as potentially reducing crinkle noise, something most people don't want while out in public. Finally, you could not be more correct about being positive when faced with the reality of diapers. For me, being a chronic bedwetter was absolute hell until I learned to accept them as a part of my daily life, in which case it eventually went from merely something to endure to a nightly ritual I genuinely enjoyed and looked forward to. By the way, we saw a giant fat bunny running through the neighbor's garden the other day. Hopefully it got away with whatever it wanted. Stupid dogs didn't even see it, but I can't say I was disappointed. Mo did chase a car with a black Lab in it the other day, ran half a mile down the road before we were able to scream him back. He also tried to jump out of the back of the truck to get at a little dog that got loose, which wouldn't have lasted long with him on it. Anyway, he's being very annoying lately, barking right in front of me right now at the neighbor dogs. The sun is out, I have my newly fixed laptop and am sitting outside in the sun. A cloud just blew over, so it's cooled down somewhat. Have a pleasant day.

Always, thank you for your insightful comments. I don't really think I would like to run in my cloth diapers...Although they are great and super comfy to sleep in, they would be very hot on hot japanese summer days. Disposable would be the way to go, but there don't sell any plastic-backed diapers here.

and I am happy the bunny got away from the silly dogs

  5. Greetings. Another thing I thought of regarding running while wearing involves sagging, which might make running a bit more difficult than usual. Urine, when one wets standing up as would be the case while running, tends to pool in the center of the garment rather than dispersing down into the rear as it would when wetting while seated and supine. This is especially true for females, who cannot utilize the polymers in the front of the garment in most cases. When standing, unless one were to squat, which would be rather obvious in public, the liquid just sits there and causes the middle to sag down. This may not be a problem under long skirts or dresses, but I have found that pants/shorts, if not baggy or loose fitting, tend to show this sag off sometimes, especially if the void was large or occurred multiple times. One could, of course, wear the disposable tighter to the skin, but this can create problems with chafing and leaks in the case where liquid is trapped in one area due to inability to move. A looser diaper will give the skin more air while not leaking, if properly positioned, but it does allow for some sag. like most things, there is a give and take, left solely up to the wearer's discretion. I have also found that it is quite difficult to wet while walking, let alone running, and personally must stop until the void begins, at which case I may continue. Sorry to be so long, but any subject like this will have me blabbering on for hours. Have a great day.
