i have a cold..

Well the temperature here has really been up and down and up and down. We have had one nice spring day followed by a week of cold and rain. This last week has been really dramatic. On monday it was raining and cold at about 50 degrees... tuesday it was around 70~75 degrees and sunny, Wednesday it went back down to 40 and has stayed there since. It even snowed a bit this morning!

This is very strange weather for spring in Japan. Normally it is around 60 degrees and rising in April.

and well this month and a half of up and down weather has finally caught up to me. I have caught a cold. yucky!

Sleeping is always tough when you have a cold, but I have found that having a diaper on makes it a bit more bearable. Normally It takes me hours to fall asleep when I have a cold. But this time it only takes me only 20~30 min. I just diaper up, snuggle my bunny under my blankets and get all comfy.

  1. Greetings. That is quite odd weather, no matter where you are. It also makes wonderful breeding grounds for the viruses that cause common cold, as you've obviously noticed. Maybe a nice big spoonful of wasabe would clear you out, sure does for me half the time if not more so. What I do is put as much in my mouth as I think I can stomach, inhale through the mouth, close it and exhale through the nose. The vapours coming up from the green leafy spice ought to be more than enough to get one coughing and watery eyed, not to mention cleared out for a while. If the throat is a problem, I always go for black liquorice of some form, usually tea with a bit of honey for sweetness, not that liquorice tea even needs it. Anyway, I hope this is a here today, gone tomorrow affair that leaves nothing more than a slightly reddened nose as a testament to its ravages. By the way, reading your comments about the joys of being "all diapered up" makes my heart ache, no offense. It's been so long, and it's finally catching up with me. I was thinking about my stuffed animals and imaginary friends of childhood for the first time in years today, and was utterly amazed at how much I remembered about them all. Anyway, very best of luck to you, and hope all goes well. Have a pleasant weekend in any case.

  2. Wow, that is some cold remedy. I stick with trying to exercise to get all the nasty stuff out of my body. In fact, my colds are not nearly as bad when I am running. But the weather makes it hard to run..
I am sorry that my joys made your heart ache... try to frame it in a more positive way. you were lucky to have so many stuffed animals and imaginary friends.
I think back to all the stuffed animals i had as I kid too. I can still see them in my mind... I slept with stuffed animals until I was about 15-16, then stopped.. and started again when I was in college. Now I don't ever want to stop.
    try to be positive, ok
